Because STEMI notifications indicate a potential heart attack, every activation must reach the appropriate physicians and nursing staff immediately, with confirmation that the care team is mobilizing. The hospital partnered with STATLINX to support STEMI activation communications.

When a STEMI notification is received:

  1. The hospital contacts STATLINX to initiate the activation.

  2. STATLINX immediately contacts the three physicians on call.

  3. Simultaneously, a page is sent to the STEMI nursing team, typically consisting of three nurses.

  4. STATLINX monitors responses from the nursing team.

  5. Once responses are received, confirmation is provided that the STEMI team has been successfully activated.

With STATLINX supporting the activation process, the hospital gained confidence that critical STEMI notifications were being communicated efficiently and consistently.
